Walter Johnson
Walter Johnson is an experienced compliance and ethics practitioner and Senior Advisor, Compliance Strategists, a New York area based consulting firm specializing exclusively in organizational compliance and ethics solutions for a wide spectrum of private, public, governmental, academic and on-profit entities.
Walter is the former Director of Compliance and Ethics for Kforce Government Solutions, Inc. (KGS), a federal government contractor providing services to both defense and civilian services and manufacturer of TraumaFX M.A.T.T (Multiple Amputee Trauma Trainer) manikins. As the head of the federal compliance and ethics program from 2015 through 2019, Walter led program enhancements after the conclusion of a Office of Inspector General (OIG) Administrative Agreement. After 5 years, the Interagency Suspension and Debarment Committee invited KGS to discuss the benefits of compliance and ethics programs. Prior to KGS, Walter served as Director of Compliance Systems and Finance for Ameritox Ltd and as Compliance Project Manager for the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, Inc.
As an active member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and Health Care Compliance Association (SCCE/HCCA) Board of Directors. He’s authored greater than 30 articles available in Compliance Today, Ethikos, and Compliance and Ethics Professional. He serves on both national and regional compliance conference planning committees.
Walter holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Bowie State University and a M.S. in International Administration from Central Michigan University. Certifications include Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC), Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), and Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional – International (CCEP-I).
